Description :
The company is currently looking for a finishing superintendent for its Montreal construction sites to complete its team. The Finishing Foreman will be responsible for the coordination and progress of the finishing work on the site. He will be the contact person on the construction site regarding finishing.
Responsabilities :
- Manage a project under the supervision of the project manager;
- Coordinate site activities independently in accordance with the client's plans and specifications;
- Ensure that plans, specifications, change notices, approved shop drawings and any other information related to the construction of the project are up to date and accessible on Dreeven;
- Prevent and manage conflicts on site;
- Participate in site meetings with the various stakeholders;
- Apply the standards and laws in force on the construction site;
- Responsible for ensuring compliance and implementation of CNESST programs and standards on the job site.
- Impose the respect of contractual requirements to suppliers and subcontractors;
- Write site reports, complete control sheets, receive materials delivered to the site;
- Participate in the production of project schedules for the finishing touches and ensure their respect;
- Inform the project manager of the progress of activities and adjustments, if necessary, to the work schedule;
- Eliminate all deficiencies in order to receive provisional and final acceptance of the project;
- Manage material, equipment, labor and subcontractor requirements;
- Any other related tasks.
Required :
- Knowledge of Dreeven software (preferred, but not required) ;
- Have significant experience as a Senior Site Superintendent;
- Relevant finishing experience, preferably in a general contracting company;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- High degree of efficiency, autonomy and thoroughness;
- Time and priority management and the ability to handle unexpected or complex situations;
- Demonstrates positive and engaging leadership;
- Good communication and teamwork skills;
- Excellent command of French and English (oral and written).
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role
