We are seeking an organized and proactive Pre-Construction Coordinator with a strong sense of initiative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of Bertone’s multi-residential real estate projects. In this role, you will:

  • Ensure drawings are complete, with no gaps, and that the full scope of the project is adequately covered by all professionals.
  • Verify compliance with applicable codes, municipal regulations, and Bertone standards.
  • Track, document, and coordinate the resolution of RFIs (Requests for Information).
  • Participate in value engineering exercises by proposing technical optimizations and practical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Contribute to defining the scope of preliminary work for the general contractor.
  • Prepare commercial test fits based on tenant requirements and building constraints.
  • Assess the integration of commercial components within primarily multi-residential projects.
  • Review tenant layout plans to ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure (MEP systems, egress, shafts, structure).
  • Analyze the impact of changes in use and propose appropriate technical solutions.
  • Perform minor architectural revisions as required.

What you bring:

  • Strong technical education (DEC in Architectural Technology, Architectural Technologist diploma, or a related field).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in multi-residential or mixed-use projects (construction or development).
  • Excellent understanding of interdisciplinary coordination (architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, rigor, and ability to work independently.
  • Practical knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and municipal regulations.
  • Proficiency with industry tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Dreeven.

At Bertone, diversity and inclusion are at the core of our values, and we provide equal employment opportunities to all applicants in accordance with applicable federal, provincial, and territorial legislation.
